As my docto...This is the story of me and hepatitis. As my doctor said “Wow Peter you hit the trifecta, you had A, B, and C.” He went on to explain that 80% of the people like me were dying and that I was very lucky. As he was the gregarious sort I didn’t have a chance to tell him that as far as I was concerned luck had nothing to do with it. It started along time ago in Mexico in the 1960’s. I was young and invincible & I didn’t take precautions while traveling there and ended up with ‘Hep A’ much to my detriment. Next of course, it was ‘Hep B’ from needles in the Haight, and where ‘Hep C’ came from I have no idea.

Anyway, I was back in NY by the early 70’s working and living, when an article appeared on the front page the New York Times where the Russians, then the Soviet Union claimed that they had a cure for hepatitis which involved giving large quantities of Vitamin B 15 to patients for around six months. This was presented at a conference for the American Medical Society(AMA). The AMA rejected the conclusion for several reasons, one made up and rather funny, the the other legitimate. As well they should as doctors are also scientists and must remain skeptical. But also as scientists you can
reject findings but then you are required to duplicate the experiment to prove the conclusion right or wrong and it is here that they failed to act as scientists. One of the
reasons of course was money, as they were getting large amounts of money to develop a vaccine for Hep which they eventually did. The other was that is was a vitamin and at that time the AMA didn’t consider anything that wasn’t strictly medical such as vitamins, herbs etc. as worth looking into. And most still don’t.

I on the other hand paid close attention to the article and for the next decade took large quantities of Vitamin B 15 on my own. I just kept taking them as the article did not
specify the actual protocol and as I said I did it for about 10 years on and off. Then I stopped. I closely monitored my liver alway feeling for any pain in that area as well as that tell tale taste of stale Cheerios in my mouth that I knew so well from Hep. Eventually I stopped worrying about it as I was drinking regularly like everyone else in
NY and my liver seemed to be handling it just fine. As I got older I had other medical problems and had to get blood tests regularly. Naturally I always had them check my liver as well and again there has never been a problem to this day.

I have searched around the web for a while and found little. In Europe vitamin B 15 has been used for premature aging and for psychotic problems. In Russia it is used
extensively for many things, including aging, alcoholism, drug addiction, autism, heart disease, diabetes, and several others and of course liver disease including hepatitis. The problem was that I couldn’t get into the Russian websites so that what I learned
was through reviews by western doctors of the Russian system.

The other thing about this is that while B 15 was legal in this country for many years, it was ruled illegal in the 1984 for very dubious reasons even though there has never been any report of any toxic effect from the use of B 15 anywhere.

I bring this up now as I’m retired and have nothing better to do and because there seems to be a lot of people suffering from terminable hepatitis due to life styles of a
different time. I do believe that this is worth looking into and I leave it to you to do that.

After all nothing else is working.

the HepsterThe Hepsterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13559379707085528988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3946953058804610037.post-30080127136949001322011-06-30T20:48:15.491-07:002011-06-30T20:48:15.491-07:00Good information given about hepatitis C.
